Then, go down down down to the basement, which is going to be my own chillin TV hang out room. The man hasn't moved out all his stuff but on this side of the stairway is a very cozy area and then . . .
on the other side of the stairwell, it goes on for miles and there won't be any cars parked in here. I can have an art studio on this side. There is also a full bath down here and heat. The checkered floor is only a year old and Monica plans to finish out the ceiling so it has a loft like feel.
Now go back outside to the back of the house. Hike down this stone steps . . .
and we will have this awesome deck to sit on!!!!

Birds I've seen recently

I saw this male Baltimore Oriole sippin out of the hummingbird feeder on the afternoon I came back from Natchez with Mama (5/09). I was sooo tired from our extravanganza that I flopped right on the bed, but in a bit, something orange outside the window caught my eye. I wasn't tired anymore! I grabbed my camera and through the window got this shot. A day or two later, I saw the female Baltimore Oriole:
Here's a cute little Killdeer. I love these cutie pies. I got to get a shot of them walking/running one day soon.

And when I was at the State Park in Texarkana for David's latest triathlon (5/18), we saw lots of these Scissortail Flycatchers!!!!

They were so fascinating and so beautiful when they were in flight. Here's a few attempts at catching them flying with their long tail spread open:

The Colors of Thailand

One of the lasting legacies that I have from my long-ago friend, Tabatha, (whose mother was from Thailand) is the love for the colors of Thailand. I think this Spring I have achieved in bringing that color scheme to life!
